|
|
MacMall.com currently has 12" iBooks for sale at $994. Plus they have a $50 mail-in rebate as well as a free 1GB ram upgrade (gotta pay for installation though).
So, it comes down to this:
$ 994.00 12" iBook
$ 218.99 1GB extra RAM + install
-----------
$1212.99
+ $8.89 [shipping to my location]
-----------
$1221.88
- $179.00 RAM rebate
-----------
$1042.88
- $50.00 iBook rebate
-----------
$ 992.88
So $992.88 total price shipped to my location. (12" iBook, 1.33Ghz, 1.5GB ram, 40GB hd, combo drive, AE and BT)
Any place have a current better deal than this?? _________________ -=iMav=-

BTW, that's over $500 less than the same thing from the Apple directly (probably even MORE when you factor in taxes). _________________ -=iMav=-

After reading your post, I googled the ibook and found this:

Not sure if this is old news??? Looks like for $999 you can also get the superdrive (which would appeal to me since my mini doesn't have it.)
But the deal you found sounds better!

The 12" iBook does NOT include the SuperDrive direct from Apple (for $999). Just comes with the combo drive. _________________ -=iMav=-

You're right... that article was in error. I believe the 14" comes with (or is available with) the superdrive.
If Apple is upgrading the ibooks, does that mean we might see some bargains on the previous versions? |

There are some decent refurb deals on 14" at Apple right now... _________________ -=iMav=-
