Which one on the mini?
Apparently there'll be both according to the rumours, but which would you guys prefer?
Personally, I would have to say dual drives. As appealing as dual displays is, I just think dual drives would better suit my needs.
Very Happy

I've voted Dual displays but I'd like both please. Smile

I currently run a second display off my iMac as well as 2 external drives. So that would be minimum requirements now for me. Razz

I'm not in the market for a new Mac mini, but I voted for dual displays as well. You can always add external storage.

I would say dual displays as long as the FW400 stays external drives are a much better option for aditional storage since they can be up to 1.5TB on a single drive while the Mac mini can only have a 500GB maximum.

I'll probably buy a new Mac mini if it supports dual displays. I'm way in need of a new desktop these days. I would also like to put both my Cinema displays to work with a single system. I almost bought a Mac Pro a couple months ago, but then I looked in the mirror. I'm not spending that kind of money on a new computer in this economic climate.

I voted dual displays as its easier to add external storage, but my one gripe about external HDD is they are so noisy compared to internals. So I would always prefer to have the storage capacity within the device. Also with a Mac Mini the beauty is in its minimalistic look, start attaching external hard drives and dvd players etc and it really distracts from the beauty of the Mac Mini experience.

My iMac is unbelievably quiet, which I really appreciate after the PC I previously owned which sounded like I was stood in a wind tunnel. On my iMac I now have two external firewire drives and whilst they aren't the nosiest drives in the world their drone really does get on my nerves after having appreciated the silent computing that was my first year with the iMac. Sad

Still, Apple at least provided a third option... None of them Evil or Very Mad

Dual displays, most definitely.
This is my major disappointment with the MacMini because I can't locate any of the gadgets that do it here in Thailand, and If I order one from abroad it is 80% certain to get lost in the post.
