| Can you get Grip and Lame through DarwinPorts? I always had good luck with Grip in linux.... |

xACT, seems to be THE ripper on the mac. I do go to bittorent sites and they usually use EAC for Windows. Since some-one showed up using a Mac they had to rethink to get the same ripping quality as Exact Audio Copy. This proved to be xACT and I believe it is even freeware!
