Apple Releases Mail Update 1.0
Tuesday, December 23, 2008
Posted by: Charles
Apple has released Mail Update 1.0 via its Software Update utility and on the Web. According to the company, this update addresses stability issues with Mail. Some users have experienced crashes with the application after upgrading to Mac OS X 10.5.6. This can be caused by having outdated third-party Mail plugins installed, or by using a copy of Mail that wasn't updated properly. If Mail Update 1.0 does not appear in Software Update, you do not need to install it. More information about this update can be found here. Mail Update 1.0 weighs in at 58MB and requires Mac OS X 10.5.6.

Not showing and no trouble for me. I guess that's the way you want it. |

I don't think I've ever seen an update just for Mail in Tiger or Leopard before. |

| I did get one Mail.app crash after the 10.5.6 update so I felt I should do the Mail update. Will report back if I notice anything strange. |
