All yours for $699, take it or leave it. I'll take one after Snow Leopard comes out. |
Please no MagSafe on a desktop
Doubt we will see them giving a keyboard, mouse, or remote. Doesn't fit the BYODKM, though I hope the remote stays there.
I hope they announce that they will ship with Snow Leopard or get a free upgrade when Snow ships. I know wishful thinking. |

Why are you so against it? I think the Mac mini already uses a MagSafe connector of sorts. It sure doesn't take much to pull out the plug on mine. In fact, I think MagSafe offers more resistance. It could also be used with the new Cinema like someone else mentioned. |

Do you honestly think Apple will include a KB and mouse? I very highly doubt they will.. |

I doubt that Apple will include a remote, let alone a keyboard and a mouse.
Just out of interest, will the nVidia card borrow memory from the main stash like the Intel chips do, or does the nVidia come with its own dedicated video RAM? _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

| I want to hear alot more about these DRM and HDCP issues if Apple is going to embed it in the display hardware. I don't like what little I've read so far about the restrictions on playing movies from the new macbook pros on external monitors - This could make setting up a home theatre just a bit more tricky, or lose alot of the appeal of the better graphics. |

I can more or less guarantee it wont have dedicated video memory, it will be like the MacBook and use system memory. _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

I think it will probably come with DisplayPort. Simply for the fact that Apple wants you to buy an AppleTV for your living room... _________________

Huh What does a DisplayPort Connector have to do with an Apple TV in my living room?

I should have made that a little more clear.

He might be talking about how there haven't really been any Displayport to HDMI convertors like there are DVI to HDMI. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

As interesting as it might seem, no Firewire means no sale for me.
Pro or not, all of my external drives, other than the new one(WD MyBook which is FW/USB2/eSata) are all Firewire, as is my ancient iPod.
I'm not buying a new set of drives, and a new iPod just because Apple wants to make the Firewire port a 'pro' feature.

to each his or her own. That is absolutely your right. Apple has the right to make FW a Pro feature at the same time. Apple has almost always been ahead of their time when it comes to I/O connections. Not everything can last forever.
I still know people using parallel ports for printers. They don't blame PC manufacturers for deleting it.... _________________ Automotive Digital Marketing

IEEE 1284 just works compared to USB 2.0 printers, also the old printers that just don't die use it too. Actually at school if a printer has IEEE 1284 we will use it since we have plenty of cables sitting around (we have a shortage of USB cables though) and it never has given us issues (like the cable coming out of a socket). _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."
