Why the Mac Mini is the best Mac on the market

CNET News - "Some may disagree with my sentiment that the Mac Mini is the best Apple computer on the market, but as an owner of practically every Mac known to man, I think I can say, without any reservation, that the MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac Pro don't hold a candle to the small, yet versatile Mac Mini."

Wow. This Don Reisinger dude is one of us! Cool

Thought of the day: Why does the comments section of articles that are positive about Apple products always contain the opinions of some mouthy dipsh*t who's never used a Mac in his life? Confused Just wonderin'...

That's a great article, and so far I would have to agree, but the only other mac I own besides my Mini is my iMac G3. I sure hope Apple would make a Mini Macbook. You know 10" & no Optical Drive, like all those Netbooks out there I'm seeing. I would think just on the OSX alone, Apple could blow the PC competition out of the Water. Priced somewhere around $ 699. One Gig Ram. 80 GB Hard Drive. Airport but of course. Man, I'd buy one for sure. A Laptop for me needs to be Compact. That would be my Wish! But maybe I'm just dreaming. Smile

Isn't that what the MacBook Air is? Except for the price that is...

As for dipsticks mouthing off about Apple in pro Apple articles, I haven't a clue, but... I think it has something to do with p*nis envy.

very funny Smithcraft ! Smile Although besides the price difference the MacAir, is also not 10 Inches. No, I think it would be really cool to have a Macbook Mini with the Intel Atom Processor. Ever since I got my Mini, I realize sometimes Good Things come in Small Packages.

For my personal taste the MB Air is too big. The price is also too high (again these are just my opinions). I think Apple would sell a load of netbooks. My guess is Apple will eventually release a netbook. Until then, even a die hard Apple fan like myself will use an Asus netbook.

I think the mini is a great computer. However, I think the iMac is an overall better computer. If the mini used full sized computer components it would then get my vote.

As solid state drives and cloud computing becomes more mainstream, component size will make less of a difference. For now though. The few inches in saving that the mini gets by using notebook components really doesn't justify the additional price and lower performance.

I think the MacBook Air would be more attractive at like $999. The current price will never make it a netbook killer.
