Apple Releases QuickTime 7.5.7

Apple has released QuickTime 7.5.7 via its Software Update utility. According to the company, this update is recommended for owners of MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro with Mini DisplayPort. It's not available for other Macs at this time. The update addresses an issue where some standard definition purchases from the iTunes Store do not play on some external displays. QuickTime 7.5.7 weighs in at 70MB and requires Mac OS X 10.5.5 and QuickTime 7.5.5.

| I guess the apparent gap between 7.5.5 and 7.5.7 (sounds like a plane) gives Apple an out with a 7.5.6 before they release the iMacs and Mac minis with a Mini DisplayPort. At least that's what it seems like to me. |

| I'm still not sold on the new MacBooks because of the glass screens, but this is a step in the right direction. |
