I had the opportunity years ago to pick up a Fender Esquire. When I was at the RnR Hall of Fame looking at the Esquire that Jeff Beck was playing on the cover of the Rave Up album by the Yardbirds, I had to find a place to kick myself in the ass for not buying that guitar.

I have:
1986 Gibson Les Paul (Natural Wood Finish)
Taylor 310 6 String Acoustic w/ Fishman Pickup installed
Yamaha Acoustic 12 String w/ Fishman Pickup Installed
Washburn Acoustic Electric with a big hole in it. Smile

I use to have a 1968 Gibson SG Standard. That is my favorite Electric Guitar to play.

Nice! I bet you get some monster twang with that maple neck. It also looks to be in really nice shape. Cool

I got those Tamas out of the attic yesterday. I think my nephew, his friend and I will do a little jamming in the basement this weekend. Smile

Nice kit! Can I ask what cymbals those are?

Thanks. Nothing great at all, just some MIG Tamas that came with the kit. By the way, there is another 16" crash out of frame.

Cool Smile
Devo, can I ask what kind of music you're into? I mostly like indie post-rock, and most other genre's of progressive rock. Not your usual average musical taste these days Wink

Classic rock, hard rock, folk and blues. We were doing a little Beatles, Stones and Beach Boys this afternoon after the Jets game.

Wow. What a coincidence. The Jets-Titans was the featured game here in Arkansas. After Brett and company laid the Titans out (out pretty cold, too) I got my Telecaster out and did a Logic Express version (very simplified of course) of Eric Clapton's Four Until Late. A very enjoyable Sunday afternoon.

Cool! That's a great song to record on a Sunday afternoon. Just don't go out and make any deals with the devil now... Wink

Very Happy My sister's husband loaned me Clapton: The Autobiography. I just finished reading it and had been listening to Robert Johnson's original Cross Road Blues. Clapton drew a lot of inspiration and ideas from Johnson's 1930's music. So, I leaned into that aspect of it this afternoon.

I'm not familiar with the book. I'll have to check it out some time. Have you ever seen him in concert? I've seen him two or three times. I know the first concert made the hair stand up on my arms. Bell Bottom Blues literally brought me to tears.

Yes, I have seen him. He was here some 5 or 6 years ago. Did a very professional and very polished show. The book was released in 2007 by Broadway Books of New York. ISBN 978-0-385-51851-2.

Congrats! Cool

The Standard American Strats got a nice update last year at the NAMM. They are really sweet.

Why are you worried? Are there like rumors or something about it going out of business?
