Tuesday, November 4, 2008
Posted by: Fran
Roxio today released Toast 9.0.4 Titanium, an update to their full-featured disc-creation software for the Mac. The new version resolves a number of MPEG video related audio/video sync issues. It also addresses an issue related to looping chapters on authored video discs. Other improvements in this release include:
- Resolves issue with some video files that may cause -39 error
- Improves compatibility for disc images with 2K block size in partition map
- Improves compatibility for disc images with only XML resource fork
- Improved detection of AVCHD volumes
- Resolves issues relating to cutting and trimming TiVo recordings with Toast Video Player
Toast 9.0.4 Titanium weighs in 230MB and requires Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later. It is a free upgrade for all Toast 9 Titanium users. For new users, Toast 9 Titanium is priced at $79.99.

I got the video editor to work for the first time. Before clicking on the thumbnails would not take you to that frame and right and left arrow advance would not work (typically only fwd, but sometimes only backwards).
Seems to work on a clip I pulled from a DVD that did not work in 9.02. |

I still can't justify upgrading from Toast 8. Am I alone on this? _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

You are not alone. I never upgraded to Toast 9 or Popcorn 3. I find myself using DVD2one more than Popcorn these days for movies. Toast 8, on the other hand, seems to be more than adequate for the rest of my burning needs. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

I haven't upgraded!!!
I still use toast titanium 7 because 8 and 9 won't allow certain features so i decided as long as it works i really don't need to upgrade. |

I upgraded to the new icon from the Toast 9 package. Does that count for anything? |

That's bad, but I can do you one better. I'm running the Zune theme and Vista SidePanel from Yahoo Widgets to make my XP partition look more like Vista. |

| I have Toast Titanium 9.0.2, and When I am burning a movie, the audio is about 15 seconds ahead of the video. Anyone know a fix for this? |

I was never able to find a fix for the audio syncing issues. Roxio support wasn't wiling to help either. I also tried this update since it states some of the syncing issues were fixed, but it didn't make a difference. If you find one, let me know. _________________ 14" 1.25GHz G4 iBook (died)

Well that just plain stinks. You got the newest version & it doesn't work. I have Toast Titanium 8 and it works fine so far. I know there are others on here that have Toast 9. Maybe they will chime in. Anyone? _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD
