Cinnamon Peripherals today announced the release of the CinnaMount mini USB Edition, a new mount for the Mac mini. According to the company, the CinnaMount mini USB Edition is the first Mac mini mount with a front USB port that also has a stacking feature. It can be stacked with their CinnaMount mini Classic Edition or CinnaMount mini Silver Edition v2 mounts. You can also stack multiple mounts if you have more than one Mac mini or Mac mini-sized external hard drive/hub, such as the Newertech miniStack v2.5 or v3. The CinnaMount mini USB Edition is sold as a kit which includes an aluminum mount for the Mac mini power supply. It's available now and priced at $42 ($50 CAD).

Just to be clear: you cannot stack multiple CinnaMount mini USB Edition together. The USB Edition goes at the top and you can stack one or more Classic Edition at the bottom.

I know the Apple TV is bigger than the Mac mini, but the Airport Extreme essentially has the same footprint. I would assume that you could just put it in one these, no? |

Sorry for the late reply. I've been pretty busy with orders lately, and now two product launches at once.
The Airport Extreme mount should be simple enough to design, it's only a matter of having them manufactured.
The AppleTV mount, however, is a more complicated problem. I have an idea but there is so many options and settings that I might end up dropping the idea altogether and do a simple mount instead. Let's just say that if my idea works, it's going to be worth the wait.

The plate is as big as it is because of three factors:
- it has to hide the back of that USB connector. There's barely 1/8 of an inch clearance on either side, at the back. Anything smaller and the back of the connector would have been visible from a very small angle.
- There's also the screws that hold the cable in place, I wanted to have symmetry on both sides of the screws (i.e. the same space between the USB hole edge/screw and the screw/plate edge).
- It's also a design symmetry from the point of view of the USB connector itself. The plate is roughly the same size as 3 connectors wide by 3 connectors high, with the actual USB connector in the middle area.
I hope this answers your questions.

The mount for the Airport Extreme could be ready for christmas or january, and probably february or march for the AppleTV mount. There's also financial variables involved, because I don't think people would be willing to pay 100$ for a mount.

| I'm not sure what your mount for the AEBS will look like, but you need to think about antennas on each side of the base station. The sides of your current models would be right over them. I'm not sure if that matters, but it could cause some trouble. |

Hmmm... good point devo. I'm not sure what CinnaMount has in mind for their design either but I was planning on getting an external antenna for my AEBS from Quickertek anyway. |

You can just put that baby anywhere then. Are you getting the entire 802.11n upgrade kit from them? I've given some thought to buying one myself. |

From the photos I've seen the antennas seem to be at the bottom. But yes you are right, the Airport Extreme mount will take the antennas into account.
