Don't ask me why, but Safari feels significantly slower for me after this update. It's constantly beachballing. |

I think my Safari works well, my FireFox is slow though. ...but I don't know if it's suppose to be? |

I don't think so. The latest version of Firefox 3.0.3 feels very fast to me. Is there something that specifically feels slow? _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

The time it takes to start up the program is slower than Safari. After it starts up, which takes like 14 seconds, it works well. I don't really mind, it's just a few seconds. ...It can also be cause its a MacBook Air. |

Yeah, that's probably just a by-product of the slower HDD in the MacBook Air. Unless it started after this update. Firefox 3 takes like 4-5 seconds to open on my Intel Mac mini cold. It's just a tad slower on the G4 and G5. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

| Anybody else experience any hardware problems? My DVD player worked about 5 days before the security update because I had to do a reinstall of Leopard. I did the update and now the DVD player just ejects DVD's after about 30 seconds of trying to read. I can't burn CD's anymore either. The Genius bar said I had to replace the optical drive. I don't believe them. Help? |

I doubt this update is blame. It's probably just a coincidence. Maybe the drive got pressed during the Leopard and just failed. I would tend to believe the people at the Apple store if they really checked it out good. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)
