I just wanted to say that Brian and I are heading up north tonight. Our grandmother has taken a turn for the worse and things are looking really grave to say the least. This will undoubtedly hinder our ability to watch over the forums for the next few days. If you see anything fishy or spammy during this time, please feel free to PM Glenn. He will take care of it as soon as possible.
Man, it sure has been an emotional day.

Thanks so much for the kind words!
We came home last night. The situation is bleak to say the least. The doctors really aren't giving her much time, maybe another week or so if that. It's pretty much in god's hands. I'm just happy we could say our goodbyes and have a bit of closure.

| I'm so sorry to hear that ghostdawg. I bet it's been hard for you. Perhaps the passing of time will make it a little easier. I guess that's the best we can hope for. |

It has been hard, but the worst is over. She was 86 years old and lived a good life. How old is your grandmother? _________________ G4 Mac Mini | 1.25ghz | 1gb | 40gb | OS X 10.4.11 | 37" Westinghouse HDTV

She is 85. My grandfather and her have been married from almost 65 years. He is taking it really hard as well. They even had to sedate him over the weekend. He has Parkinson's disease and it gets really bad with stress. So we had to be there for him just as much.
I've had some health issues myself this year. It just hasn't been a good one. I hope 2009 gets here fast! |

I have some sad news. Our grandmother passed away earlier this afternoon.
Charles and I will be gone for the week to attend her funeral and visit with family. So please feel free to PM Glenn during this time if you are having trouble with your account or would like to report spam.
On a personal note, I am both heartbroken and relieved. My grandmother was really suffering for the last week. Hopefully, she is in a better place now and knows that she was loved dearly. After all, she was the rock of our family. _________________ Brian
