Hey!
I just blew part of my 'economic stimulus' check on an Airport Express.

I know our beloved minis do not have 802.11n like the AE supports, is there a way to maybe upgrade the mini to support g?

Also I connect to my cable modem with both my mini and a iBook G3. Is it connecting at full speed on each device? how can I check?

If I add wireless on my XBOX 360, will that connect as well?

Last dumb question!!!

Can the USB port be used for a USB drive, or just a printer.

Thanks!!

The Mini already has an 802.11g card.

You can use the Network Utility, in the Utilities folder to check the Link Speed of Network Interface (en1).

Yes, the adapter does 802.11a/b/g.

Just a printer on the Airport Express, unfortunately.

thanks for the reply.
Where I asked:

It should of specified that I was asking about upgrading to n, if possible.

edit:
I just checked network utility and it's showing 54 on the mini and 11 on the iBook.
I was just making sure that it could handle different speeds at the same time

There's a fair number of threads about replacing the internal 802.11g card with an 802.11n card. Just do some searches, and you'll find what you want.

Well I got it ALL working now!
cable modem to airport express

Connected to it, XBOX 360, Mini, iBook, Sony PSP, Nintendo DS.

They all work simultaneous!

I also run Connect 360 by www.nullriver.com to integrate my media to the XBOX 360 on the bigger screen.

Everything looks good and runs great. It CAN be done.
