Apple has released the MacBook Air Software Update 1.0 via its Software Update utility and on the Web. According to the company, this update is recommended for all MacBook Air computers and addresses issues with video playback and processor core idling. Third-party software that modifies processor operating characteristics such as frequency and voltage is not supported and should be removed before installing this update. The MacBook Air Software Update 1.0 weighs in at 368KB, and requires Mac OS X 10.5.4 or later.

| I hope this helps some. We bought our daughter one for school and it's quite a little hot plate. |

| I hope they update the MacBook Air in September and drop the price to like $1299. I'm thinking about buying one. |

I think I could justify the current price of $1799 if they gave it a standard 120GB HDD and at least a 2.0GHz CPU. I have the 80GB model, and at first it was ok, but I really need to run Vista on it, and I a 20GB partition which only allowed me to install Visual Studio 2008 with about 1.6GB remaining, not enough for SQL, Office and some other stuff I need to run.
...butI agree a decrease in price would rock. |

120GB? I was hoping for at least 160GB. |
