Apple has released iTunes 7.7.1 via its Software Update utility and on the Web. "Use iTunes 7.7 to sync music, video, and more with iPhone 3G, and download applications from the iTunes Store exclusively designed for iPhone and iPod touch with software version 2.0 or later. Also use the new Remote application for iPhone or iPod touch to control iTunes playback from anywhere in your home - a free download from the App Store. iTunes 7.7.1 includes fixes to improve stability and performance," notes the company. iTunes 7.7.1 requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, or Mac OS X 10.4.10 or later for iPhone support. The download weighs in at 48MB.

iTunes still seems to think there are updates available for my iPhone apps when there aren't.... _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

No trouble here. I didn't even lose my Apple TV this time around. |

| All good here. No trouble with the install or with my iPhone. I'm hoping they release iPhone 2.0.1 soon though. My iPhone 3G is starting to feel more and more buggy. |

| Not sure what's different in this version - but the 'applications' section is much prettier! |

I could be wrong, but I don't see a difference. The fonts, color and background all look the same to me. |

I am having problems since this itunes update.
I am using a Mac Mini with Tiger. Front Row.
Ever since the update, play counts podcasts i watch on my Front Row are not updated. It still gives a blue dot beside the title.
Anyone else with this porblem? |

Ditto. If Apple is listening. BUG.
Tiger + Front Row + 7.7.1 = Not remembering watched podcasts, etc, and setting the Blue Dots correctly. |
