Logitech Intros diNovo Edge for Mac
Wednesday, August 6, 2008
Posted by: Glenn
Logitech today announced the diNovo Edge Mac Edition, the first diNovo keyboard specially designed for the Mac. The new Bluetooth keyboard is exceptionally thin with a high-gloss, semi-translucent Plexiglas frame, sharp angles and soft-orange backlighting. It features optimized Mac keys for one-touch access to Mail, Safari and iTunes, as well as many other Mac-specific applications. The keyboard even offers a Power button that turns your Mac on and off, while the TouchDisc allows you to scroll and navigate from your keyboard. Moving a finger up and down or across the disc moves the cursor on the computer screen, and moving the finger in a circular motion around the perimeter of the TouchDisc enables you to scroll horizontally and vertically through documents.
An included charging base eliminates the hassle of changing batteries, with a four-hour charge giving you up to one month of battery life. A 10-minute power charge provides one day of use.
The Logitech diNovo Edge Mac Edition is expected to be available in the U.S. beginning this month. It has a suggested retail price of $159.99.

Not crazy about the price, but I'm picking one up for HTPC. I wonder how it powers up your Mac through bluetooth? _________________ 14" 1.25GHz G4 iBook (died)

It's expensive, but at least it doesn't have a Mac tax like the QuickCam Vision Pro. Heck, it's costs less than the Windows version. At least when it comes to the MSRP. |

Because you missed out on the Mac version, or because you hate it? You kinda lost me. |

Zack, welcome to the group, but please don't use derogatory terms like this. I don't like hearing that from anyone, but I imagine it's not really how you want to introduce yourself to a new community. _________________ MacMini 2GHz C2D 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD| Panasonic TH-37PX60U | iPhone 3G 16GB

Scooper, I love it. It would be better if it was Mac specific is all.
Sorry if my use of gay offended anyone. But it's simply an expression. People use terms like lame, retarded and stupid all the time. Should that also offend people who are, or know people who are disabled, mentally challenged or not smart? Sorry again but it's just an expression. |

That's good to hear. I've never really seen one in person. Well... maybe once at Best Buy, but that was a long time ago. |

| I have the DiNovo Edge for Windows, but I'll probably sell it or something and get one of these. I really like it a lot. I could never live without the trackpad for HTPC. I also like the volume slider and feel of the keys. It's just a really nice keyboard. |
