That arstechnica article calmed a lot of my fears about battery replacement issues with the nano. Sure the battery is soldered in, but it would not be a problem to replace the battery. I would just cut the old battery's wires way up near the battery end. That would leave at least two inches of wire leads to use to splice a new battery to.
