Apple Updates iPhoto, iMovie, iWeb and iLife '08

Apple has released iPhoto 7.1.4, iMovie 7.1.4, iWeb 2.0.4 and iLife Support 8.3 via its Software Update utility and on the Web. According to the company, iPhoto 7.1.4 contains new holiday greeting card and postcard themes to use with Apple print products. It also addresses general compatibility issues, improves overall stability, and addresses a number of other minor issues. iMovie 7.1.4 and iWeb 2.0.4 also address general compatibility issues, improve overall stability, and address a number of other minor issues. The three updates also change all references of .Mac to MobileMe.
iLife Support 8.3 provides system software components shared by all iLife '08 applications. This update also improves overall stability and addresses a number of other minor issues. It is recommended for all users for iLife '08.

| No problems with the updates, but it's kind of strange that Apple didn't offer these up the day MobileMe came out. To me, this is more proof of a poorly planned rollout of the service. |

...they still did a much better job than Microsoft I think |

I'm not sure what you mean, but that wouldn't be a first. I just think a lot of MM users are angry with Apple because they expected more. Some users have been without email for days now. |

| I got a bit of a problem. Every time i open Iphoto I get a beachball and it hangs for a bit. Anyone else getting that? |

No trouble like that here. Trashing the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file in your Preferences folder might help you. Like how long is it hanging? |

| For about 40 seconds. Not that long but wasn't doing that before. There is only 7 pics in the program since it is not my main machine. I will give your suggestion a try tho. |
