Posted by: Fran
Apple has released iTunes 7.7 via its Software Update utility and on the Web. According to the company, "Use iTunes 7.7 to sync music, video, and more with iPhone 3G, and download applications from the iTunes Store exclusively designed for iPhone and iPod touch with software version 2.0 or later. Also use the new Remote application for iPhone or iPod touch to control iTunes playback from anywhere in your home - a free download from the App Store." The App Store and 2.0 software for the iPhone and iPod touch should be available soon.
[Update:] The App Store is now live.

| It will be interesting to see what the interface for this remote app looks like. I hope that it looks something like Front Row with live metadata and not just basic touch controls. |

The remote works with the AppleTV!
All of this is just awesome. I think it was a smart move for Apple to release this today. It's really going to get the excitement going for tomorrow now. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

It seems to be working fine for me. I've been looking around in there for the last 30 minutes or so. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

I like how Apple sorta separated the paid and free apps in the App Store. That makes things nice for cheapskates like myself. |

When I click on Store the connection never completes, therefore never taking me to the store. I have to click stop & try the Store again until I can get to the Store. Anyone else having this Issue ? _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD
