One thing interesting from the techdirt article, it mentions it's cheaper to buy it under contract and then default. With how AT&T is doing the iPhone plans I'm just going to get a Palm, Blackberry, or an Android when they come out.

That's kind of a joke though. You could just buy at $199, cancel for $175, and save around $200. Right?
