Have a Mini on the way with 40Gb HDD, I will need more storage than this, even for a boot drive.
Do I:
a) Purchase replacement internal drive .. 80Gb is still hardly huge and it will be expensive
b) Purchase firewire enclosure and put one of my 200Gb WD 7200 drives in there, I have 2 sitting in my current PC already you see
If I do b, which would seem sensible, how is performance on the Mini when loading apps and data from a firewire drive? Better or worse perfornance than accessing an internal drive? Also does the mini handle daisy chaining of firewire devices ok? My current PC is crap in that respect... I have 3 or 4 devices that would use firewire for connection.
Thanks!

It sure would be nice to fork over the $300+ for a 400GB 7200rpm drive and throw THAT in an external enclosure! _________________ -=iMav=-
