No Windows password, no Mac connection!

When I chose to drop using a password on my Windows box (for whatever reason), I noticed that, when connecting to it from my Leopard Mac, the Mac Finder fails to connect and shows the message 'Your password has expired'.

Path Finder v4.8.5's version is: 'Connection failed... check the server name or IP address...'. Error -36, it says next.

None of the situations mentioned on the 'Error -36' page http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=52381
seem to apply. If I add a password to the Windows box and try again, the connection takes place!

Is this a 'feature' or a bug?

Was the password ever saved to your Keychain? If it was, I would look in there and delete it.
