| I'm not crazy about using @me.com with MobileMe. It seems a little pretentious. Do you think they will offer other domains or even keep the @mac.com around when it goes live? |

if you have a @mac.com address prior to the switch over to mobileme you can keep your mac.com address.

I don't think I'll be rushing to create a me.com address either.
I do however think the new mobileme offering has a lot more to offer for the price than .mac did. I would have been struggling to justify renewing my .mac subscription but mobileme seems to offer me more. Thankfully I'm going to be able to test drive it for 3 months prior to my renewal being due.

I posted a link in another thread about mobile me, with a way to get .mac at a $30 discount through Amazon. I'll see if I can find the thread.

I was thinking about this today, and it appears Apple also own mobileme.com so why didn't they use that instead? I think I'll pass on mobileme though since I wouldn't use it anyway, but another reason would be the name. Think of the confusion though when you tell someone @me.com they'll be putting in @(your name).com .
