If I understand the new policy then Apple won't sell me one because there is no AT&T service where I live.

At least with the first version I was able to buy one from Apple and unlock for use on T-Mobile.

I went into town and spoke to a sales person at the "Carphone Warehouse" and the bloke told me I will be able to pre order the iPhone a week before its release so hopefully this will save some hassle when its launched!

I don't think I'll buy for now. The only use I have for my phone is actually ... as a phone.
