Mac Minium Falcon
Thursday September 1, 2005
From MacMod comes the Millennium Falcon Mac mini. The mod consists of a Mac mini placed inside a $20 dollar Millennium Falcon plastic toy model. Han Solo and Chewbacca action figures sold separately. The mod also includes an iSight built into the cockpit and front USB port. Derrick Hixson writes: "The Mac mini was already being used as a media center Mac, where it was connected to the television in the family room. We thought it would be cool to have this available for double duty. Make this work as a computer or continue to serve its media center functions. Either way, we could just plug in the VGA or S-Video cables for however it would be used."

Very cool!
This mini-mod has more creativity than the last three movies. |

They weren't that bad! I really liked Episode III.
Congrats to the case modder. I think this is the first Mac mini mod I've seen. |

This was barely a mod. The people who've built minis into classic macs have done a much more interesting job.
Also, I don't see why they had to remove the case from the mini, it doesn't save much space, and they didn't provide any external access to the optical drive. |

| Why take a nice aluminum case and turn it into a $20 piece of plastic junk. I can understand if you're a Starwars fan you might want a Starwars computer, but at least start with a good looking Starwars product. If you have no CD/DVD access. What a joke. |
