Apple today updated its all-in-one iMac line with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors. "The iMac's gorgeous aluminum and glass all-in-one design has been an incredible hit with our customers and is just one of the reasons Mac sales are growing three and a half times faster than PC sales," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. I've just read another thread that said that the Apple Store was down, checked to see for myself and stumbled across these babies...
My eyes popped out of my head!
Such a pity that they're all fitted with glossy screens, I might well have been tempted to trade the Mini in.... _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

| They would have to dump the gloss and the TN panels in the 20" for me to even consider buying one. I just hope they update the Mac mini soon so I buy another one for HTPC. Actually, I'm going to swap them, but you get the point. |

We need an update to the Mac minis too!
Is the GMA X3100 good enough for Starcraft 2, anyway? _________________ Mac mini 2010 (Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz/8 GiB)

| I like the new iMacs spec wise, but I'm going to wait to see what Apple has up their sleeves (if anything) with the Mac mini. I just don't think that I could get used to staring at a glossy screen all day. I would rather keep using my 22" Viewsonic LCD. |

Monday updates? What's the world coming to?
A nice little update. I'm suprised that Apple got their hands on Montevina first. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

For those of you that like iMacs but not glossy screens, the white 20" model with the GOOD panel can now be had cheaply from the Apple refurb store. I believe that the 2.16 ghz white model is actually faster the 2 ghz aluminum model. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

I thought about doing that with a 24" and having Colorware paint the case back or silver. I was never crazy about the glossy white finish. I just don't know if it's worth the hassle. It's a shame that Apple seems to be moving totally away from matte displays. I mean thank god for the Mac mini, MacBook Pro and Mac Pro. They are all we have now. |

I like the bus speed enhancements. I think the 800MHz bus was holding the iMac back a bit.
Now I'd like to see a 1066Mhz bus on the MBP _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

When is Apple going to show the Mac mini some love? I'm starting to get tired of waiting around on them. Come on guys! |

It should be next, but who knows with Apple. Maybe they are wating on EPEAT to test the new minis. It seems like giving an environmental status report is all the rage these days. |

Yeah, but not right away. I just got mine after the last update. And please don't tell me the Montevina MBPs will come with an Apple remote again. I was mad enough when I saw that Apple was still throwing one in with the new iMacs.
BTW: The Martinis and Medicine collection has been a real treat! |
