They have passed up Walmart in the latest sales numbers and the march toward becoming more of a digital media technology company continues. Good for Mr. Jobs and Co.

Those free country songs there were giving away on iTunes a couple of weeks ago could have helped lure many a Wal*Mart shopper.

I'm sure that American Idol promotion is giving them a nice boost. I hate the show, but they mention iTunes like every five seconds.

Throw in a few free episodes of NASCAR racing in the TV shows section and it might just work.
