Apple Releases Apple TV 2.0.1 Update

Renting a movie on your Apple TV this weekend? Well, make sure that you head on over to the "Settings" menu and update the software. Apple quietly released the Apple TV 2.0.1 update this evening. There's no official word on what the update adds or fixes, but it's the first since Apple released the Apple TV 2.0 "Take Two" update back in February.

There's a new genres option in movies and the UI feels a little quicker. That's about it.

I really haven't noticed a difference that way. It still doesn't seem as fast as the 1.x software. In fact, it seems to stick occasionally when you're navigating around. This requires you to press the remote twice sometimes to achieve the desired action.

I think that might have just been in my head. It does feel about the same after playing around with it some more.
