LaCie Mini Stack Hard Drive Available at the Apple Store

I went to my local Apple Store to purchase Apple Care for my PowerMac today. While I was in the store, I noticed that they had a stack of the new LaCie Mini Stack drives in stock. They had the Firewire versions in both 160 and 250 Gig. I did not get one, because the Apple Care was already setting me back a sizable chunk of change. However that did not stop me from ogling the boxes a bit. I was quite surprised to see how heavy the box was. It easily felt like it was twice as heavy as the Mini itself.

Well, maybe I will pick one up later on, but for now I though some of you Mini owners might be interested in hearing that they are now available.

I was a the Apple store on Sunday, but they were not in then. I was looking to see if they were. They did however have the d2's. They were heavy as well. It was very surprising. The thing is actually made of metal or something. I thought it'd be plastic but no. So yea I believe the mini stack is heavy as well.
