Just wondering if you can use a USB hub to connect 2 or 3 hard drives to an airport extreme base station? Also is there any news of Apple allowing you to use time machine on an external drive connected to an Airport base station. _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

That feature is exclusive to the Time Capsule for now. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

It would be the ideal solution if it weren't for the fact you can't partition the drive so Time Machine will eventually eat up all the free space. _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

It was touted as a feature and then pulled. There are many theories, but no one really knows why. It could be the hardware, firmware, or fact that Apple wants to get TC sales off the ground. |

I guess I could buy the 500gb TC and attach a USB HDD to it which I could partition to what ever size I fancy and use a partition on that as my TM drive then use the rest of the space as network storage. _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5
