Want to know more about when and where your Mac was built ?

This site will let you load in your computer's unique serial number and after a few microseconds, it will decode all those letters and numbers to tell you about your Mac.

Think of it like a Birth Certificate... Wink

Might come in handy one day... Smile

Cheers

Production week: 46 (November)
Production number: 7415 (within this week)

Nope. Brand-spanking new.

As the previous poster said, it looks like a calendar problem.

(Y2K that someone forgot to fix?)

It picked up my MacBook Pro's serial number accurately.

Factory refurbs should have a serial number that starts with "RM" - you don't need the decoder to tell that, although the decoder did properly indicate it for my refurb'd G5 D1.8.

My MacBook is a refurb and it picked up my serial number. It's a late '07 MacBook with a birthdate of '08.
