|
|
Made my first visit to an Apple store on Saturday. Although I have a 4GB 1st Gen Nano, I just couldn't resist the Nano Video.
OMG, it's amazing.
Now I am focusing on migrating video to my Nano. So far I have purchased
Quick Time Player Pro and Flip4Mac WMV Player Pro
I also use HandBrake and Perian.
Just waiting to get a Macbook when Leopard comes out _________________ 1.66Ghz Intel Core Duo + 1GB Ram + 80GB HD + TripLite B022-002-KT-R KVM + Bose Roommate II Speakers (circa 1990)

Yea, they're fun but the screen is smallish. I like it best for music videos rather than movies or TV shows. I need to get software that can edit so I can load only parts of music video DVDs I want.
I did covert a DVD I have of Beatle promo videos, looked great, but needed editing. I used Handbrake and mactheripper.
Still learning. I guess Quicktime player pro is what I need to edit? |

Does handbrake or mactheripper have a setting for chapters? I've seen this in a few DVD rippers. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

Congrats on your purchase. I think the most important iPod update this time has been the nano besides the newly introduced iPod Touch (drool). I received my nano 4GB Silver yesterday and am quite content with it as I usually keep selected songs and family photos, so 4GB enough for me.
Just wanted to know how much is the real world difference between the free QuickTime and QuickTime Pro? |

MTR rips them straight off as they are on the DVD, but only recent versions of HandBrake can interpret and encode those chapters in to MPEG4 files.
I have not tested it though. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

My 2GB 2g nano died on me (read below) and I took it to Best Buy (great warrenty) and they gave me a new 4GB and so far it's only gotten a little hot from syncing after sitting in a 95* car, but it cooled down (hopefully it doesn't burst into flame on me). Video looks amazing, but for the few videos with subtitles I almost can't read them.

iPod 4- iPod nano 1GB (black 1g) replacement (new warranty) (video quit)
iPod 5- iPod nano 2GB (silver 2g) replacement (audio quit)
iPod 6- iPod nano 4GB (silver 3g) replacement (new warranty) _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

So, you've only paid for a 1GB first gen Nano, but now you've got a 4GB 3rd gen Nano?

Hey I'm looking to purchase a Ipod Nano Video.
How exactly do you put tv shows and movies on?
You can purchase shows from iTunes and they will load directly onto the iPod, but what about one of my DVD movies? |

It won't be long before you'll be picking up your 16GB iPod Touch at that rate _________________ Phil

HEY!
Just got my 8gb iPod Nano today! wow videos look great on it!
I have a quick question though...
I converted a movie into .mp4, added it to my library under movies...works great on the ipod, then i decided to convert a few episodes of Scrubs into .mp4, that worked.....but how do I put the file into my TV Shows section??
The same goes for a couple of audiobooks I had from a couple of years ago....how do i get them into my Audiobook section as they are stuck in the music library.
Thanks in advance! |

There's an answer for that one from ClunkClunk in this thread: http://www.123macmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14115 _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b
