OnyX 1.9 for Leopard Released

Titanium Software today announced the release of OnyX 1.9, a new version of its popular maintenance, optimization and personalization utility for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. According to the developer, OnyX 1.9 has been totally rewritten for Leopard. Notable changes and bug fixes include:
- New replacement icon
- Bug quitting the applications corrected
- Enable/disable Journaling function
- Enable/disable iChat Data Detectors function
- Hide the icon of Spotlight in the menu bar function
- Display the OnyX Log improved
- New Utilities panel
- Files Search function (locate)
- Empty Trash function
- Reseting the Sidebar of Finder windows function
- Kiosk Mode improved
- Deleting the Conversations log of instant messaging
OnyX 1.9 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later. The download weighs in at 13.2MB.

I dig the new icon, but I'm having trouble with the application itself. I can't get past the verifying startup volume stage without it asking me to repair the permissions. I've repaired the permissions in Disk Utility, which is still acting flaky in 10.5.1, but it hasn't done anything to help me get past that stage. It's a vicious circle!  |

Edit: I repaired the permissions again and reinstalled. Guess what? It works!  |

Excellent being waiting and waiting to find a replacement to Mac janitor for ages... one that works with leopard this is.
Great piece of software free too, nice
