If you have read the ArsTechnica review, he explicitly states that the mouse itself does not have a speaker that actually produces the sound. The click is performed by the rocking mechanism that is the exact same as for the normal Apple Pro mouse.
I think I'll try out the mouse at the Apple store later this month, but I'm never going to buy another chorded mouse. With BT eventually on all of my machines, I'll just use a BT KBM and skip the cords. I don't really mind batteries that much.

...and it even works with windows, they certainly know theyve got switchers with a pc still! 
Or just if you like it and you dont have a mac (theres something youll not be happy with!)
Its ok i think theyve had a good think to make that mouse theres lots to it.
It would be really good if the speaker could play a sound of your choice if you know what i mean. expences would go up no doubt..
coming up next: itunes through your mouse?!  that would be funny - id buy it!
And whats BT?
