What happens if you accidentedly (or purposely) delete purchased content in iTunes? I'm not saying I did it or anything, I just want to know just in case. Can it be recovered from the iTunes Store or are you just SOL? If it can't be recovered from the store, I think that is a feature that should be added. They already do it on game consoles.

No, you cannot get your music again. When you purchase something from the iTunes store you get a warning to back up your downloads ASAP.

If you have it on an iPod, you can transfer it back to your computer using an app like Senuti or iPodDisk.

i believe you can also backup your purchased content from your iPod using itunes now. However it won't allow you to backup any music that wasn't bought from the iTunes Music Library.

Reviving a old topic, but I emailed apples tech support after losing all my itunes purchases in a HD Crash. They resent the songs to me in the "check for purchases" tab it was nice to be able to re download 189 songs without buying them again.
