Mac mini/router/wii problems

I bought a wii about 7,8 months ago and I bought a Lynksys router.It worked fine untill about 2 weeks ago.The wii wont connect to the internet.nor will the 360.The only way i get on with the 360 is through the dsl box now.So I bought a new router and it came with a mac compatible disk but it will only go to the third step because it wont take the password I gave it.Whats wierd is when you do the check access point with the wii and psp it recognizes the router but it wont connect.Anybody have any suggestions.

Are you using a 801 b router the wii doesn't use n it only uses a-b

Well, the OS of your computer should be irrelevant to the Router. It should be a matter of going to your gateway IP in a browser, logging with the admin password for your router and configuring.

These settings will vary per manufacturer though, what's the make of the new router?

Belkin Routers are a pain to set up.

I had one and the stupid router would lose connection or worse it wouldn't connect at all belkin makes junk routers.

I would recommend a netgear or linksys router i would stay away from belkin.
