Cocktail 4.0 Released

Maintain today announced the release of Cocktail 4.0 (Leopard Edition), a new version of its general maintenance utility for Mac OS X. Changes in this release include: Mac OS X 10.5 compatibility; updated Automator actions; updated Help compatible with Leopard help system; improved software update (Sparkle); scheduler log; and miscellaneous fixes and optimizations. Cocktail 4.0 (Leopard Edition) requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later. It is priced at $14.95 for a single user license.

Cocktail is a nice application, but I see no need to switch from my OnyX and TinkerTool combo for maintenance and system stuff. That said, I might give it a look over.  |

For me it's OnyX and MainMenu. Both do the exact same job while keeping $15 in my wallet. _________________ → craigerskine.com

Great but..
I have to agree onyx is better.
I didn't like this all to well. What scares me is we do not know enough about leopard to be messing with the system files. |

| I switched from OnyX to Cocktail when 3.8 came out. I think it's the best in this class of apps and it has served me well. |

I have been using cocktail for years and have never had any problems. Why is onyx so much better? $15 seems like a small price for such a nice little utility. _________________ Would you like to learn more about me?

I wouldn't say that OnyX is any better. People are just into the free thing for the most part. I agree with you are saying though. $15 is a small price to pay for something that works for you. Cocktail also has a nice history of being a pretty a reliable application. |
