Apple finally updated the Macbook, but i think it's a shame they haven't introduced a new design like the aluminium one. Although at least they have upgraded the graphics. Now they all have the Intel GMA X3100. As the rumours have speculated. Also they all have been upgraded to Santa Rosa.

would be nice...but somehow i dont think it will happen. Apple didn't make any media effort to show the core2duo mac mini and this might be a sign that it is coming to an end. or something new might come along, something that is slightly more expandable maybe. with apple you just don't know

Maximum RAM has gone up from 2GB to 4GB.

A poster called Dr. Zeissler predicted the upgrading of the MacBook in the "Why I think the Mini will be upgraded with Leopard" thread on the Mac Mini forum. I have to admit that I was sceptical, but he was correct with both the details of the upgrade and the date that it happened.
He has also predicted that the Mini will be similarly updated by week 45 of this year (week ending 11th November). We will have to wait and see!

| They'll probably update the UK and other overseas sites overnight. I've noticed them do that before. |

Bugger...i do hope he is right but i also wish he isn't cos if i knew i might have waited that little bit more and get leopard and better graphics but o'well life goes on and i'll have to live with what i've got. Even though it is still great!

Apple's RAM prices, particularly on the 4GB upgrades, are insane. My mother in law just got a MacBook Pro, and I got her 4GB for $170USD, when Apple wanted $700 for the upgrade.

If you buy 2 separate (same brand, and model number) sticks it can be about $120 now.
