Bob Rock, who went on to produce many acts, most notably, Metallica was the bass player in which Canadian group in the 80's? Extra credit if you can name the Police sounding song that was featured in an 80's movie, (starring the afore mentioned, Nicholas Cage,) that they were known for.

( I'm listening to it now, clue, the group was named after scandals that took place in the radio business.)
Payola$, "Eyes of a Stranger", Valley Girl. Hands and brain in unison this time... Laughing Laughing
excellent.... I love that movie...... listening to A Million Miles Away.....

No, but since we mentioned the movie, Valley Girl, one of the members of the group I'm after went on to be in the Plimsouls who had 2 songs in that movie. Peter Case who went on to be in the Plimsouls was in The Nerves who recorded the original version of Hanging on the Telephone.

Listening to The Cult right now. This is a good topic for a thread, thanks.

HM,

Here's a couple of 80's questions for you.

1.

Which international sporting event involving the USA and another country, ended up with the USA losing the series 3 : 4. ? and simultaneously put an end to the longest winning streak for any international sporting series.?

2.

What is the name of the E.T visitor that arrived in 1986 and won't come back until well after 2050 ?

Cheers

Aquafire

If the song you are referring to is Rain, that would be The Cult, one of my favorite groups of that time. "here comes the rain, here comes the rain, here it comes again, here comes the rain"
