I'm all for the Conroe as long as Apple keeps their prices in line. My only concerns would be with fan noise and heat. Don't forget Apple likes to keep their enclosures tightly packed.

I think the longer it takes for Apple to upgrade the iMac and Mac mini, the better chance they will get Core 2 Duos when they are updated. It almost seems like Apple is in a Core 2 Duo holding pattern ...

That's an interesting idea, but very unlikely. I have a feeling the Mac mini and MacBook will be using Intel graphics for a while. A 128MB ATI Radeon X1600 would be pretty sweet though.

I think Lexmark was making printers for Compaq back in the day. So you'll need to find a driver for the Lexmark version of the Compaq A3000.
